The skidding cone is an essential tool for small-scale forestry. It prevents logs from colliding with roots, stumps and other obstacles. Its elliptical nose makes it robust and allows it to slide over the residual trees thus avoiding regeneration damage.

Made of high-performance plastic, it is lightweight, flexible and practically unbreakable. 
Its large opening can fit logs up to 50 cm diameter or several small stems attached together using a choker chain. Friction with the ground is reduced considerably, which allows larger loads to be pulled. It can be used with a portable winch, behind an all-terrain vehicle, a snowmobile, a small tractor and even a horse and this in any season since it is resistant to temperatures of up to - 30°C (-22°F).

The cone is a must-have for pulling logs with a Portable Winch capstan winch. Use it with Portable Winch chokers for best performance.
