Height Safety Harnesses

Height Safety Harnesses and Rescue Systems, two critical categories for ensuring compliance with UK safety regulations like EN 361andEN 1496.

Harnesses are the foundation of any personal fall protection system, designed to distribute fall arrest forces across the body's strongest points—the shoulders, chest, and thighs.

  • Fall Arrest Harnesses (EN 361): The standard for any work where a free fall is possible. These feature a dorsal (back) or sternal (chest) attachment point to safely stop a worker in mid-air.
  • Work Positioning Harnesses (EN 358): Includes side D-rings that allow a worker to lean back and work with both hands free while remaining tensioned against a structure.
  • Rope Access & Rigging Harnesses (EN 813): Specialized "sit" harnesses with a ventral (waist) attachment point, often used by riggers and rope technicians for long periods of suspension.
